Personal:
I do not drink or smoke, I don’t party go to clubs etc. I am an excellent role model. I pretty much just work and come home. My mother has been a social worker for years so I’ve always been around her helping out involving children pretty much all my life.
I am big on education. In California I was able to pass the state. test which allowed me to be released from high school and into college at the age of 15. At the age of 17 I graduated from Evergreen State College with a high school diploma as well as 2 years of transferable college credits. I am just a few credits away from my associates and do wish to further my education in the future to obtain my ba in Psychology minor Child development.

Volunteer Experience
Ujirani Family Resource Center :
I tutored youth at Ujirani’s Compter Clubhouse (Santa Clara California a social service agency) in various subjects that included but were not limited to Math, English,20and Science ages were 5 to 10. I also assisted youth with completing computer tasks such as homework, school projects and Extra Curricular Activites. I worked in the call center as well for three years, which consisted of answering phones, scheduling appointments, and computer tasks. I served as a mentor and role model for youth at the Center and chaperoned youth outings into the community (youth leadership program) ages 9 to 12. I have volunteered at the Next Door: Solutions to Domestic Violence, Homeless Family Shelter for Woman and Children, The Ujirani Family Resource Center, and various Churches. My volunteer experiences at the Shelters, and Churches consisted of providing childcare, assisting children with extra curricular activities, tutoring, mentoring general cleanup and grounds maintenance. I also delivered toys and meals to underprivileged families during the Christmas and Thanksgiving Holiday Seasons.
Work Experience:
Sonya Stamper- Was my instructor for my two 34 hour classes taken at the Ujarani Resource Center in the summer of 2004. She was the Supervisor over the Ujarani Clubhouse where I assisted children ages 5 to 10 with various subjects that included but were not limited to Math, English 20 and Science. I assisted youth with completing computer tasks such as graphics, homework, school projects and extra Curricular activities. Ms. Stamper was also over the Youth Leadership Program at the Resource Center as well. I chaperoned the youth in this program on outings into the community from the beginning of 2003 to the end of 2004, the children’s ages were from 9 to 12. Because of the leadership qualities that I displayed and the level of responsibility that I demonstrated while working at the Resource Center when Ms. Stamper needed a part time nanny for her twin granddaughters she offered me the position. I accepted and was a nanny for her for two summers, 2003 and 2004.

Orah Mitchell-2003-2004- I was introduced to her through the Resource Center. She was an elderly woman and I was her Live in aid, which included cleaning, light cooking and providing transportation to and from the hospital, the grocery store and outings in the community. Mrs.l Mitchell recently transitioned in October 2009 at the age of 76. She struggled the last 5 years of her life battling breast cancer. The services that I provided to her, were in a sense comparable to that of childcare but far more challenging.

James Petty-2005 to Present- Mr. Petty is a Singer and Song Writer. He performs in concerts with various well known artists that he promotes through his label. His work requires that he travels often out on tours and managing varies artist. Upon my initial hire Mr. Petty’s was out of town on a regular basis. During those times of his absence, I assumed full-time and total responsibility for providing care to his two children who were at that time (1) one month and (6) six years of age. I provide nanny services in the capacity of a family driver, assist with light cleaning, cooking meals which is my specialty, tutoring, putting the kids to bed making sure the youngest arrives at school on time and is prepared for the school day, chaperoning children for extra-curricular activities in the community daily and while Mr. Petty is out of town. The children are now ages 10 and 4, they are both in school full days and Mr. Petty is now working on new projects that allow him to be closer to home. I currently provide nanny services to Mr. Petty for his children on a part- time and on as needed bases.

Ms. Mwelwa-2005-2006- She is of African descent and I reference her as Ms. M. She placed an ad on Craigslist to which I replied. She provided daycare services in her home and needed weekend assistance only. I worked every Saturday and Sunday from the beginning of 2005 until mid 2006. My hours varied weekly, based on her needs. She had 7 children in her care ages 1 to 12. My duties were cooking, cleaning, and assisting the children with activities. Due to financial issues with parents regarding lack of payment the number of children in her care decreased and my assistance was no longer needed. I provided quality services to her and the children demonstrating reliability and consistency. Ms. M continues to be an excellent reference to me for this reason.

Diane Kaseta- 2008 to Present- Mrs. Kaseta has three children ages 5, 6 and 14. My roles are light cooking, light cleaning, planning activities/outing in the community, arranging play dates, family driver, and bathing children and tutoring. Initially when I began employment w/this family I started out providing full-time services, as Tyler the youngest child was only in school part-time. I taught Tyler her phone number, her address, city and state. I also assisted her with learning to write her first and last name. I tutored her in math and assisted her with her reading skills. Once when Tyler had a play date and the parent lost Mrs. Kaseta’s phone number, Tyler was able to provide her with their home phone number area code included. At the time this incident occurred Tyler had just turned 4. This made me and the child proud of all the effort that I’d taken in teaching her their telephone number. When the children have special events and or outings I am in charge of providing the newest and latest hair styles for their hair. I can provide pictures of examples upon request. The children are currently all in school full-time therefore my services are presently only needed on a part-time bases.

Carletta Demps-2008 to Present- I met her providing nanny services while out with the Kaseta children in the community. Mrs. Demps is a doctor and her husband works in Broadcasting/Radio, they were new to the community and her daughter (Emily Demps) occasionally has play dates with Mrs. Kasetas children to which I supervise. She observed the manner in which I interacted with Mrs. Kaseta’s children and saw that I am trustworthy, reliable, and dependable. Mrs. Demps is extremely conscientious regarding whom she allows to interact with and provide care to her child. She told me that after observing the care that I provided to the Kaseta's children, “she was open”. When Mrs. Demps and her husband have various personal and job related functions to attend, I provide nanny services for Emily.
